Shimla, Sept 18 (IBNS) Three labourers have been trapped for more than 130 hours inside a tunnel near Shimla in Himachal Pradesh, reports said.

The hope for their rescue looked up on Friday as workers were able to connect two of the trapped persons.

Images on digital camera proved that the men were alive. They also communicated through microphones. It is not known whether the third man survived.

They got trapped inside after a portion of the tunnel caved in.

Oxygen, water, glucose biscuits and dry fruits are  being given to the survivors through holes dug through by rescue workers.

The tunnel is being built as part of a highway project. Most of the men working on it were able to come out safely when a part of it suddenly collapsed.
