Three Kolkata schools face protest over fee hike

Kolkata, Apr 24 (IBNS): Protesting against the alleged hike in admission and tuition fees, guardians of students of three Kolkata schools staged demonstration at those school premises and blocked nearby roads on Monday, reports said.

According to reports, three privately-run schools in different parts of Kolkata- Jewish Girls School at Park Street, Panchasayar Sishu Niketan at Baghajatin Park area and Bodhicariya Senior Secondary School at New Town- witnessed huge agitation over fee hike in the morning.

Police force from local police stations intervened in the protests soon.

However, according to the latest update came in, after three schools' authorities held meeting with students' parents and assured them to reconsider the matter, situation at three locations went under control.
