Threat call triggers bomb scare at Nabanna, nothing found so far

Kolkata, Jul 3 (IBNS): An anonymous threat call has triggered bomb scare at West Bengal's main administrative building Nabanna on Sunday night, sources said.

According to reports, someone called the Kolkata Police control room at Lalbazar in the late evening and claimed that a bomb had been placed inside Nabanna, which would explode at anytime.

After getting the news, senior officials of Kolkata Police and Howrah City Police, Special Task Force (STF) personnel and bomb disposal squad officials along with sniffer dogs rushed to Nabanna. Search operation is underway in the administrative building here.

Till the last update came in, no suspicious object has been found so far.

"We received a threat call in the late evening, where someone claimed that a bomb had been placed in Nabanna. Our search operation is currently underway here. Nothing has been found so far. After completing the search operation, we will trace and identify the caller," one senior official of Kolkata Police told IBNS.
