New Delhi, Jan 16 (IBNS) About 60 people, including supporters of the Indian National Lok Dal, were detained by police on Friday as a preventive measure against clashes between followers of the Dera Sachcha Sauda, a religious sect and their opponents over the release of a controversial film.

Reports said buses filled with the supporters of Dera chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, who stars in the film 'MSG , the message of God', arrived at the Leisure Valley ground in Gurgaon for a special screening of the film.

The film is set to be released on January 23.
