Tamil Nadu: Five killed as car rams into truck

Tirunelveli, Apr 30 (UNI) Five people, including a 3-year-old girl child were killed when a car in which they were travelling collided head-on with a truck at Karumpuliyuthu village near Alangulam,Tamil Nadu, here on Tuesday.

Police said the occupants of the ill-fated car were returning to their home after an excursion to the famous Courtallam waterfalls at Tenkasi, when the tragedy occurred.

The driver of car, who was also one among the dead lost control due to which the vehicle crashed into the speeding truck coming from the opposite direction.

Police removed the bodies from the mangled remains of the car and sent them to the government hospital for post-mortem. Further investigations were on.
