TADA Court sentences gangster Abu Salem for life

Mumbai, Feb 25 (IBNS): A Special Terrorist and Disruptive Activities (Prevention) Act (TADA) court, which earlier convicted extradited gangster Abu Salem in connection with the 1995 murder case of Mumbai-based builder Pradeep Jain, on Wednesday sentenced him to life.

Public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam informed media about the court verdict.

Jain was was shot dead by assailants outside his Juhu bunglow on March 7, 1995.

According the the prosecutor, Salem had gotten Jain killed over a property dispute.

Nameem Khan, an accused in the case had turned approver. ‎ ‎

Riyaz Siddiqui, another accused in the case had turned approver but then retracted and is being tried separately.
