Sushma meets family members of Indians held in captivity in Iraq

New Delhi, Nov 4 (IBNS): Exterbnal Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Tuesday met families of 40 Indians held captives in war-torn-Iraq.

She assured them that Indian government is continuing their ''earnest efforts' to ensure their release in the upcoming days.

"Continuing assurance. Minister @SushmaSwaraj meets families of Indians in Iraq for 5th time. Explains situation," MEA spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin tweeted.

"Recent contacts indicate that Indians in Iraq remain in captivity. Earnest efforts continue - Minister @SushmaSwaraj," he tweeted.
