Supreme Court asks CBI to probe ex-chief Sinha regarding alleged coal scam involvement

New Delhi, Jan 23 (IBNS): Supreme Court on Monday ordered the CBI to probe into the alleged involvement of former director Ranjit Sinha in the coal scam case, according to media reports.

It has been alleged that the former CBI chief mis-used his power and favoured the accused in the coal scam case, media reported.

In July last year, Sinha was indicted by an apex court appointed panel that investigated allegations that he interfered in coal scam cases, media reported.

Then it was alleged that Sinha had met the accused at his residence.
