Sundar Pichai welcomes PM Narendra Modi in USA
San Francisco, Sept 24 (IBNS) As Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached USA, India born Google CEO Sundar Pichai welcomed him on a YouTube video message saying all Googlers and the entire Indian community is excited.
Pichai said they are looking forward to Modi's remarks when he visits Google.
"The bond between India and Silicon Valley is strong. India has long been an exporter of talent to tech companies. The products built by Indian from IIT and other institutions have revolutionzed the world, but it is India which is now undergoing its own revolution," he said.
He said PM Modi's Digital India vision is central and got support from Silicon Valley.
Pichai lauded India's ongoing technological revolution when millions of Indians were getting online for the first time in rural areas.
Wrapping up his visit to Ireland, Prime Minister Narendra Modi commenced his US trip as he arrived in New York City Wednesday.
"The Prime Minister will focus on various investment opportunities in India, during his meetings with CEOs in New York City on September 24th," read a government statement.
He will interact with CEOs from financial sector organizations including JP Morgan and Blackstone, during a roundtable meeting.
He will also interact with top American CEOs at an event organized by Time Magazine and Fortune, in collaboration with the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion.
The American companies that will feature during this meeting include Lockheed Martin, Ford, IBM, PepsiCo, GE, Boeing and MasterCard, among many others.
The Prime Minister will also have a roundtable meeting on media, technology and communications.
The Prime Minister will hold a bilateral meeting with David A. Granger, President of Guyana.
