Colombo: Sri Lankan Minister of Tourism Harin Fernando on Monday said his government will be opening a tourism office in Gujarat soon.

"I will probably go to Gujarat soon to open an office there for Sri Lankan tourism," he said.

Harin Fernando said his country will conduct roadshows in various Indian cities in August to promote tourism in the neighbouring nation.

"There will be roadshows in Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Delhi," he said.

Assuring Indian tourists to visit Sri Lanka for tourism, he said the fuel trouble of the country will soon be 'sorted out' after July 10.

"It is just the fuel crisis which Sri Lanka is facing now. I can assure you that we will start to sort it out after July 10. By end of July or August, all things will be sorted out," he said.

"If you visit even today, your (tourists) vehicles will have fuel in them as we have made it an essential service, So, tourists will be free to move around" he said.

"Any fuel station which carries our licence will get fuel on priority," he said.

Describing Sri Lanka as a 'miracle', he also invited Indians to witness the diversity of the country.

"It is like a small miracle which you can see in Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka has awesome weather. It is one of the cleanest places in the world. The people in this country are very much hospitable," he said inviting Indians and tourists from different countries to visit the nation.

"Sri Lanka is a must visit place for all Indians," he said.
