Sonia Gandhi greets nation on Ganesh Chaturthi

New Delhi, Sept 5 (IBNS): Congress Supremo Sonia Gandhi on Monday greeted the nation on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi.

"Congress President, Smt. Sonia Gandhi has extended her greetings on the holy occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi," a tweet from Congress read.

"Paying obeisance to the Vighnaharta, Smt. Gandhi expressed the hope that Lord Ganapati will remove all obstacles in the path of the people and the Nation," it added.

A predominantly Hindu festival, Ganesh Chaturthi is widely celebrated in the Western part of India.
