Chandigarh: Jagroop Rupa, a gangster involved in the killing of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, and another suspect were killed during an encounter with the police in Amritsar district on Wednesday.

Anti-Gangster Task Force officials confirmed the encounter to The Tribune.

The encounter reportedly occurred in  Bhakna Kalan village in the Amritsar rural belt.

The two belonged to the Jaggu Bhaganpuria gang. Bhaganpuria had provided these shooters to Lawrence Bishnoi for the Moosewala killing, reports The Tribune.
