Sex racket busted in Pune, 2 minors rescued

Pune/UNI: Two minor girls were rescued while three women and one agent were arrested after a sex racket was busted in Baramati city of this district, police said on Monday.

According to the police, a tip-off was received that a sex racket was being operated from Baramati’s Ganesh vegetable market area.

Subsequently, a trap was laid and decoy customers were sent to the accused. In the ensuing raid, two minors were rescued while a mobile phone and cash have been seized from the spot.

The arrested women are from Erandol of Jalgaon district, police told, adding that a case against them has been filed under the Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act.
