Senior Haryana IPS officer Puran Kumar commits suicide
Senior Haryana IPS officer Puran Kumar has committed suicide at his Sector 11 residence in Chandigarh city, media reports said.
Police have rushed to the spot after the incident.
The reason behind the suicide is still not known.
Chandigarh Police Senior Superintendent of Police Kanwardeep Kaur is at the spot, reported NDTV.
Kumar was serving as the Additional Director General of Police.
He was posted at the Police Training Centre (PTC) in Sunaria, Rohtak, on September 29.
