Security beefed up in Islamabad ahead of Sushma Swaraj's arrival in Pakistan

Islamabad, Dec 8 (IBNS) As Indian External Minister Sushma Swaraj is on her visit to Pakistan for a conference on Afghanistan, the security in Islamabad have been bolstered keeping in mind the safety of the guests, according to reports.

Pakistan's Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, who lauded the Pakistani Army was quoted by Dawn as saying, "Our national resolve and commitment to eliminate the menace of terrorism has earned us a sound repute and respect in international society."

Swaraj's maiden voyage to the neighboring nation will also see the two countries engage in developmental talks and comes right after both The Prime Minister's met at Russian and Paris earlier this year.

The External Minister is also expected to call upon her Pakistani counterpart for a brief discussion on External matters involving the two nations.

Meanwhile, Pakistan have also expressed its pleasure at having Swaraj over to their country.

Pakistan's External Minister Sartaj Aziz, reportedly said, "This is a good beginning, the deadlock that was present has to some extent been removed.
