Saradha scam: One more arrested

Kolkata, Feb 13 (IBNS): In yet another arrest in connection with the Saradha chit fund scam, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has arrested a man on Friday.

The ED arrested Prashanto Naskar, who is a close aide of Saradha Group chairman Sudipto Sen, after questioning him at its Salt Lake office here, reports said.

"Naskar has been working as an agent of Saradha schemes in the Bishnupur area of the state for long. He was also active as a political muscleman in the area and had close connections with a TMC leader and strong links with Sen," a source told CNN-IBN.

Several politicians, including former Union minister Matang Sinh, have been arrested in connection with the scam so far.

The multi-crore scam left lakhs of depositors fleeced in West Bengal and triggered a political uproar.
