Kolkata, Feb 21 (IBNS): Accepting the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI)'s appeal and rejecting his bail plea, Alipur Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate (ACJM) Court on Saturday sent former Union Minister Matang Sinh to judicial custody up to Mar 7.

After six days in the CBI custody, Matang Sinh was produced in the Alipore court on Saturday.

The lawyer of Matang Sinh plead for his client's bail while CBI's lawyer opposed it.

Listening from both sides, judge sent him to judicial custody for 14 days.

He will be produced to the court again on Mar 7.

After a marathon seven hours of questioning, the probe agency had arrested Matang Sinh on Jan 31 in connection with the Saradha chit fund scam.
