Saradha: Mitra to be produced in court tomorrow, CBI demands for extra security

Kolkata, Dec 15 (IBNS): The Central Bureau of Investigations (CBI) has demanded for extra security from the Kolkata Police and the Bidhannagar City Police as arrested West Bengal Transport and Sports Minister Madan Mitra will be produced in court on Tuesday.

According to reports, the CBI has sent two letters to the police commissioners of Kolkata Police and Bidhannagar City Police and demanded for more security.

After the  completion of his 4-day CBI custody, Madan Mitra will be produced in Alipur Court.

The CBI had arrested Madan Mitra on Friday in connection with the Saradha chit fund scam.

He was produced in Alipur Court on Saturday and the court had sent him to CBI custody for 4 days.

TMC activists were seen shouting slogans and trying to obstruct the vehicle in which he was being taken to the court.
