Santosh Kumar Gangwar takes over as the New Minister of State for Finance

New Delhi, July 6 (IBNS) Santosh Kumar Gangwar took over as the new Minister of State for Finance here on Wedensday.

Gangwar was the Minister of State for Textiles (Independent Charge) before taking over as the Minister of State for Finance.

He represents Bareilly (U.P.) Parliamentary constituency in Lok Sabha.

Gangwar has been elected to Lok Sabha for seven times starting from 1989.

Gangwar was born on 1st November, 1948 and is a Law Graduate.

He has been Member of various Parliamentary Committees.

Gangwar has held various portfolios in the past including Union Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Parliamentary Affairs, Science and Technology, Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises among others.

Speaking on the occasion, Gangwar said that we are hopeful that GST Bill will be passed in the forthcoming Monsoon Session as most of the political parties are in its favour. He said that BJP is also constantly in touch with the Congress party on this issue.
