S Jaishankar meets Russian FM Sergey Lavrov, both leaders discuss bilateral issues

New Delhi: External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Friday said he discussed issues related to bilateral cooperation with visiting Russian FM  Sergey Lavrov.

He said he discussed issues related to developments in Ukraine, Afghanistan, Iran, Indo-Pacific, ASEAN and the Indian sub-continent. 

"Concluded talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. Discussed bilateral cooperation and developments in Ukraine, Afghanistan, Iran, Indo-Pacific, ASEAN and the Indian sub-continent," he said.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, who is on a two-day India visit amid Moscow's attack on neighbouring Ukraine, landed in Delhi on Thursday evening.

He is also scheduled to meet PM Narendra Modi.
