Gurgaon, Nov 8 (IBNS): In a major twist to the school murder case, where a seven-year old Pradyuman Thakur was found dead in a pool of blood in Ryan International School, a class XI student of the same school has been arrested, media reports said.

A conductor of the school's bus was earlier arrested in connection with the incident. He allegedly confessed to have committed the crime after failing to sexually abuse the child.

In the latest development, the class XI student was arrested on Tuesday night. He was taken for interrogation.

As the suspect is a minor, the details have not been divulged by the police.

Pradyuman  was found in a pool of blood inside the washroom of the school with his throat slit open.

The case is presently handled by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

After the latest development, Pradyuman's father told media: "I can only say that what happened was because of school’s carelessness. We never thought any student can be involved in this case."

The High Court, however, had asked Ryan International School's founder and Chairman Augustine Pinto, Managing Director Grace and CEO Ryan Pinto not to leave the country and join the probe in the murder case.

The Punjab and Haryana court has granted the Pinto family, who run Ryan International School, an anticipatory bail till December 5.
