RSS leader Balraj Madhok passes away, Modi mourns

New Delhi, May 2 (IBNS): Senior Rashtriya Swamyasewak Sangh (RSS) activist and former president of Bharatiya Jan Sangh (BJS) Balraj Madhok passed away in New Delhi on Monday.

He was 96.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi mourned the death of the RSS activist and said he was selflessly devoted to the nation & society.

"Balraj Madhok ji's ideological commitment was strong & clarity of thought immense. He was selflessly devoted to the nation & society," Modi tweeted.

"Had the good fortune of interacting with Balraj Madhok ji on many occasions. His demise is saddening. Condolences to his family. RIP," he said.

Modi also met Balraj Madhok's family members.

"Paid tributes to late Balraj Madhok ji & met his family members," Modi tweeted after meeting the RSS leader's family memebers.
