Rose Valley scam: TMC MP Tapas Pal gets bail

Cuttack, Feb 3 (IBNS): Trinamool Congress MP Tapas Pal, who was arrested for his alleged involvement in a chit fund scam, was released with a bail by the Orissa High Court on Saturday, media reports said.

Pal is accused of taking benefits from Rose Valley, which is a chit fund.

Pal has been directed to deposit 1 crore and two sureities of 2 lakhs each to get the bail, report said.

He has also been asked to submit his passport to the investigation officer.

The actor-turned politician was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in December, 2016.
