Road accidents have reduced in West Bengal: Mamata

New Delhi, Dec 4 (IBNS): West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday said road accidents in state have reduced in the state by 16.06 percent due to continuous monitoring and campaign.

" 'Safe Drive, Save Life' campaign was launched for the first time by West #Bengal. We are trying our best to improve it further and seek cooperation of all," Banerjee tweeted.

"Due to continuous monitoring & extensive campaign, road accidents in #Bengal have reduced by 16.06%,road injuries have reduced by 12.10%, fatalities have reduced by 13.34% during Jan-Oct, 2017 as compared to Jan-Oct, 2016. This achievement has been appreciated by many bodies," she said,
