Karnataka: NY Gopalakrishna of Congress wins from the Bellary Rural seat, a stronghold of BJP.
Bihar: BJP's Rashmi Verma wins Narkatiaganj seat while RJD wins Mohiuddinagar Assembly seat. The alliance of RJD-JDU-Congress was leading in six of the ten seats that went to polls in Bihar. RJD was leading in Chapra while JD-U was ahead at Jale, Hajipur and Parbatta. Congress leads at Bhagalpur seat.
