Rape complaint filed against Indian Navy officer

Mumbai, May 28 (IBNS) a rape complaint has been filed against a Lieutenant Commander in the Indian Navy in Mumbai as a girl has lodged an FIR against him.

The girl has also  filed a complaint with Naval command.

Reports quoted the Navy as saying that  an inquiry has been constituted. The final report is yet to reach the Naval headquarters.

The Navy chief has assured that swift action will be taken.

"The necessary action will be taken in the case. This is a case of an alliance or a relation gone sour," he said.

Details of the incident are awaited.
