Rajnikanth to float new party and contest next assembly polls in TN

Chennai, Dec 31 (IBNS): Superstar Rajnikanth on Sunday announced that he will enter politics and float his own party.

Speaking at Raghavendra Marriage Hall in Kodambakkam, Rajinikanth said he would contest the next (2021) assembly election in Tamil Nadu.

While making the announcement, Rajnikanth said he is not entering politics for power or position.

The superstar said that his politics will be based on "spirituality, not on religion or caste."

Rajnikanth's colleague from industry, Kamal Haasan, who is also into politics, welcomed the 68-year-old.
