Rajnath Singh gives away enhanced relief to victims of 1984 anti-Sikh riots
While addressing, Rajnath Singh said that no compensation and relief will take away the pain which these family members are facing for the last 30 years.
He mentioned that the incident is a black spot on the history of India.
Singh mentioned that as per records, 3,325 persons were killed in these riots across the country and out of these, 2,733 persons were killed in Delhi alone.
The Union Home Minister said that the Government has now constituted a Committee under the Chairmanship of Justice G.P. Mathur to address the grievances related to the 1984 riots.
Singh had earlier tweeted: "Shall meet the families of 1984 anti- Sikh riots tomorrow at Widow Colony in Tilak Vihar area in West Delhi."
