Rahul Gandhi to appear in Bhiwandi court today for RSS defamation case

New Delhi, Jan 30 (IBNS) : Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi will appear in a court in Maharashtra's Bhiwandi in connection with "defaming" the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, reports said.

Gandhi will appear in the court on his way to Goa for electioneering.

The Congress leader has been accused of defaming the RSS, ruling BJP's ideological mentor, with his  comments at a rally before the 2014 election blaming the organisation for Gandhi's assassination in 1948.

During his last appearance in November, Gandhi was granted bail.
