Rahul Gandhi arrives in Jammu for 2-day visit

Jammu/UNI: Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Thursday arrived here for a two-day visit.

Enthusiastic Congress leaders and workers showered petals at Mr Gandhi outside the Jammu Airport.

He was welcomed in the shape of a rally by the party activists.

Soon, after his arrival, the Congress leader left for Katra to pay obeisance at the cave shrine.

Earlier, Mr Gandhi on August 10 visited the Hazratbal Dargah along with Kheer Bhawani Temple in Srinagar.

Party spokesperson said that the Congress leader will trek on foot to pay obeisance at the Darbar of Mata Vaishnodevi.

On Friday, he shall be interacting with the party delegates at JK Resorts in Jammu from 1100 hours to 1230 hours.

"He will also hold interaction with the senior party leaders and shall return to New Delhi," the spokesperson said.
