Punjab: BSF seizes 1.2 kgs of heroin and 3.6 kgs of graveled substance from border area

Jalandhar/UNI: Border Security Force (BSF) seized three packets of contraband suspected to be heroin weighing 1.2 kgs and Two loose polythene packets filled with a graveled substance weighing 3.6 kgs from the area of responsibility of 2nd Bn of the BSF in Abohar sector.

A spokesperson of the Punjab Frontier Headquarter of the BSF here said that the contraband suspected to be heroin and graveled substance was found buried beneath the soil in the area.

The BSF troops detected freshly dug out soil ahead of the Border security Fence which alerted the troops to something fishy and during search the said amount of heroin and graveled substance came to the notice of the troops he added.

He said that this was for the first time the troops seized a graveled substance along with the contraband suspected to be heroin.
