Priyanka Gandhi Vadra to meet family members of murdered labourer and his family in Prayagraj today

Lucknow/UNI: Congress general secretary and Uttar Pradesh in-charge, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, will be reaching Prayagraj on Friday to meet a family of a labourer, whose four members were murdered recently.

Congress sources here on Friday said that Vadra would reach Prayagraj at 3 pm and will go to Gohari village in Sorao where recently labourer Phulchand Pasi, his wife, son and daughter were murdered.

Sources said the labourers family were threatened by the criminals but even after complaint no action was taken by police leading to the murder.

"Ms Vadra will meet the family and express her condolences," party leaders said.

Earlier, Vadra was slated to come to Lucknow today to launch the UP Congress special membership drive to be launched from today.

Now Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel will launch the membership drive in Lucknow this afternoon.

The party has targeted to enroll one crore new members during the 15-day long drive.
