Priyanka Gandhi meets Muslim clerics

New Delhi, May 1 (IBNS) Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi recently met Muslim clerics at Raebareli in Uttar Pradesh to woo them to vote for her mother and party supremo Sonia Gandhi, who contested the Lok Sabha elections from the constituency, said reports on Thursday.

According to reports, Priyanka met representatives of the All India Ulama and Mashaikh Board (AIUMB) in Raebareli on Apr 22.

She discussed the concerns and demands of Sunni Muslims in the constituency with AIUMB national general secretary Babar Ashraf.

Polling in Raebareli was held on Wednesday (Apr 30) with about 52% turnout recorded in the constituency.
