President Pranab Mukherjee reaches Vietnam

Hanoi, Sept 14 (IBNS): Indian President Pranab Mukherjee on Sunday reached Vietnam as he commenced his four-day state visit to the Asian nation.

Mukherjee was received by the Council Minister of Vietnam on his arrival at Hanoi International Airport, in Vietnam.

Mukherjee is scheduled to hold talks with the top leadership of that country during his visit.

Vice President Hamid Ansari, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, his cabinet colleagues Rajnath Singh, Sushma Swaraj and Thawar Chand Gehlot gave Mukherjee a warm farewell at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Ahead of his visit, Mukherjee on Saturday said India considers Vietnam as an important pillar in our 'Look East Policy'.
