President of India’s message on the eve of National Day of Sao Tome and Principe

New Delhi, Jul 11 (IBNS): President of India Pranab Mukherjee has extended his greetings and felicitations to the Government and people of the Democratic Republic of Sao Tome and Principe on the eve of their National Day (July 12, 2016).

Democratic Republic of Sao Tome and Principe is an African island country near the equator. 

In a message to the President of the Democratic Republic of Sao Tome and Principe, Manuel Pinto da Costa, the Indian President has said, “On behalf of the Government, the people of India and on my own behalf, it is with pleasure that I convey to you – and to the Government and the people of the Democratic Republic of Sao Tome and Principe, warm greetings and felicitations on the occasion of your National Day.

India and Sao Tome and Principe have traditionally enjoyed warm and friendly relations. I am confident that our developmental partnership will be strengthened in the years ahead to the mutual benefit of the peoples of our countries.

Please accept, Excellency, my good wishes for your personal health and well-being – and for the progress and prosperity of the friendly people the Democratic Republic of Sao Tome and Principe.”
