Pranab Mukherjee wishes Kuwait ahead of National Day

New Delhi, Feb 24 (IBNS): President Pranab Mukherjee on Wednesday extended his greetings and felicitations to the Amir and people of the State of Kuwait on the eve of their National Day which will be observed on Thursday.

In a message to Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah Amir of the State of Kuwait, the President has said, “On behalf of the Government, the people of India and on my own behalf, it is with great pleasure that I extend warm greetings and felicitations to Your Highness and to the people of the State of Kuwait on the occasion of your National Day." 

"The historical and friendly relations between India and Kuwait are based on the millennia-old cultural, religious and economic exchanges between our two countries, characterized by extensive people-to-people contacts and deep mutual respect. I am confident that our ongoing cooperation across the full spectrum of political, economic and cultural activities will continue to diversify and strengthen – to our mutual benefit," Mukherjee said.

"I take this opportunity to convey to Your Highness my best wishes for your personal good health and well-being – and for the continued progress and prosperity of the friendly people of the State of Kuwait," he said.
