Pranab Mukherjee greets nation ahead of Parsi New Year

New Delhi, Aug 16 (IBNS): President Pranab Mukherjee on Tuesday greeted the nation on the eve of the Parsi New Year.

“On the auspicious occasion of the Parsi New Year, I convey my greetings and good wishes to all my fellow citizens, particularly my Parsi brothers and sisters," Mukherjee said.


He said: "The Parsi Community of India has played a major role in the building of our nation and contributed immensely to development of our country in various spheres, including industry, commerce, trade and education."

"The Navroz festival signifies the coming of the new and passing of the old. Let us spread goodwill on this day and work hard to make our nation united, secure and prosperous," Mukherjee said.
