Pondicherry: Intern doctor killed as 2 motorcycles collides

Puducherry, Apr 23 (UNI) An intern doctor with the Pondicherry Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) here was killed when the motorcycle on which he was riding collided head-on with another motorcycle here early on Tuesday.

The rider of another motorcycle was injured in the accident.

Police said, the intern doctor Goplakrishnan was an intern doctor at the institute after completing his MBBS at PIMS.

He went to meet his friend at Pondicherry Central University last night and was returning to the Institute on the motorcycle when the accident occurred.

The injured Gopalakrishnan and the rider of another motorcycle, were rushed to PIMS. Gopalakrishnan died within minutes due to sustaining head injury.

Police are investigating.
