Alappuzha/UNI: Political murders in Kerala's Alappuzha district in the last 10 hours has rocked the state after BJP's OBC Morcha State Secretary and Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) State Secretary, lost their lives in the attacks.

BJP leader Ranjith Sreenivasan was hacked to death at his house early on Sunday allegedly by the SDPI activists, sources said.

The BJP leader was murdered soon after the murder of SDPI leader KS Shan, who was hacked to death on Saturday night.

When KS Shan was on his way to home on his scooter, a four-member gang, who was following him in a car, hit his scooter and he fell down on the road.

As soon as he fell down on the road, the assailants came out of the car and hacked him.

Though he was rushed to a private hospital in Ernakulam, he could not be saved, sources added.
