Police complaint against Bollywood actress Ameesha Patel

Khandwa (MP): A police complaint has been lodged here seeking registration of a cheating case against actress Ameesha Patel for staging an extremely brief performance at a film star nite, during the Navchandi Mahotsav in this district headquarters, after allegedly charging a heavy amount.

The artiste countered by writing in social media that the organisers of the Saturday event had not made proper arrangements; she perceived a threat to her life but expressed gratitude towards law-enforcement authorities for providing security.

However, there was no report of any scuffle or misbehaviour being meted out to her.

The plaint against Ameesha was by social worker Sunil Jain and many others.

Over the past couple of decades, the fair has witnessed performances by eminent personalities including Hema Malini and Meenaakshi Sheshadri.
