Police arrest three in mob lynching incident in Tripura

Ambassa(Tripura), Jul 06(UNI) Three persons, arrested in connection with the mob lynching of Budhdhiram Tripura on suspicion of cattle lifting in Gandacharra in the northern Tripura district of Dhalai, have been remanded in judicial custody till July 8.

On July 3 last, some villagers from Noarampara under Raisyabari police station in the subdivision lynched Budhdhiram Tripura (38) on the suspicion of cattle lifting. Then local Raisyabari police station registered a case and started probing into it.

Police nabbed three villagers of Noarampara identified as Niren Chakma(34), Samar Singh Chakma(29) and Alomoy Chakma(35) on July 4 and yesterday they were produced before a local court which sent them to judicial custody.
