New Delhi, Dec 13 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi wished Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar on his 62nd birthday on Wednesday.

Modi tweeted: "On his birthday, my greetings to Goa CM @manoharparrikar Ji. May he lead a long life filled with good health."

Parrikar is also wished by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Amit Shah.

Shah said on Twitter: "Birthday greetings to Chief Minister of Goa Shri @manoharparrikar Ji. May he be blessed with good health and long life."

Parrikar, former Defence Minister, became the Goa CM in 2017 after the BJP could manage to form a coalition government. He left the portfolio of Defence to become the CM.

Parrikar was the CM of the state two times earlier, 2000-2005 and 2012-2014.
