PM Modi urges citizens to continue practicing yoga

New Delhi, Jun 21 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who was happy with the turnout for yoga day, urged people to continue the exercise and make it a part of their daily lives.

"I urge citizens of the world to continue practicing Yoga regularly & make Yoga an integral part of your lives. The benefits are many," Modi tweeted.

The Prime Minister lauded the youth for their active participation.

"Gladdened by the response to #IDY2016. Its heartening to see people from all walks of life join the celebrations across the world. #YogaDay," a second tweet read.

"The participation of youngsters & women in #IDY2016 programmes all over the world is particularly encouraging. Kudos to everyone. #YogaDay," The PM added.

Calling it an admirable effort, PM Modi thanked the volunteers for organising yoga events.

"My special thanks to all those who organised & volunteered to organise #IDY2016 programmes. Their efforts are admirable. #YogaDay," he said.
