PM Modi to visit to pay tributes at Brussels' terror site
Brussels, Mar 30 (IBNS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who reached Brussels on Wednesday morning for an India-EU summit, will visit the train station in the Belgian capital where an Indian software engineer was among 13 killed in a terror attack last week, reports said.
In the afternoon, PM Modi will lay a wreath at the Maelbeek Metro Station, where a suicide bomber blew himself up on a train last Tuesday. Infosys employee Raghavendran Ganesan, was killed in that explosion.
In a statement before leaving for Belgium, PM Modi had said, "No words are enough to salute the resilience and spirit of the people of Belgium. We stand shoulder to shoulder with them in the wake of the horrific attacks in Brussels and share the grief of those who lost their loved ones."
At least 32 people were killed and over 300 were injured after two bombs exploded at the Brussels airport and one went off at the Maelbeek metro station in the Belgian city on March 22.
The prime minister will also address the Indian community later on Wednesday night, after meetings with leaders of the Hindu forum Europe and Hindu Forum Belgium.
