PM Modi reviews full range of bilateral ties between India and Thailand with General Prayut Chan-o-cha

New Delhi, June 17 (IBNS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said he reviewed the full range of bilateral ties between India and Thailand with country's Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha who is currently on a state visit to India.

"The PM of Thailand, General Prayut Chan-o-cha & I reviewed the full range of bilateral ties between our nations," Modi tweeted.

He said: "PM Prayut Chan-o-cha & I agreed to deepen security engagement between our nations & forge closer ties in defence & maritime cooperation."

Speaking further on the discussion, he said: "We discussed the importance of diversifying commercial engagements between India & Thailand & why that brings greater regional prosperity."

he Indian PM will host a banquet lunch in honour of the visiting Thai PM and his delegation.

The Thai PM will also call on the Vice President M Hamid Ansari.

The Thai PM is expected to deliver a speech at the business event hosted by FICCI/CII/ASSOCHAM on Friday. The India Thailand Joint Business Forum will hold their first meeting during the visit and convey their recommendations at the business event.

The Thai PM will visit Bodhgaya on Saturday before departing for Thailand.
