PM Modi reaches Srinagar

Srinagar, Oct 23 (IBNS) After spending some time with the soldiers at the Siachen Glacier in Jammu and Kashmir, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Srinagar city on Thursday.

Modi will visit Raj Bhawan in the city. He will later meet several delegations and flood effected families of the state.

Meanwhile, the Congress party has decide not to send any delegation to met Modi.

Modi on Thursday began a hectic day with his visit to the Siachen Glacier where he aimed to "stand shoulder to shoulder with" soldiers on the occasion of Diwali.

Ahead of beginning his journey, Modi posted on Twitter: "Friends, I am leaving for Siachen Glacier. Its my good fortune that I will be able to spend time with our brave soldiers on this special day."
