"I have invited 9 people and asked them to come to public places and work towards a Clean India. I ask them to invite 9 more people too," Modi said.

Modi said: "I have invited Mridula Sinha ji, I have invited Sachin Tendulkar, Baba Ramdev, ShashiTharoor, Kamal Haasan, Priyanka Chopra, SalmanKhan, team of Tarak Mehta Ka Oolta Chashma for taking up the initiative."

The Prime Minister has invited businessman Anil Ambani among the nine people to join the movement to Clean India

Modi started the campaign on the day of 'Gandhi Jayanti' when the country observes the birth anniversary of the 'Father of the Nation' Mahatma Gandhi.

"We shoul;d give back something to Gandhiji," he said.
