PM Modi hails Amit Shah as a diligent worker

New Delhi, Aug 9 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday hailed Amit Shah as a diligent worker, after the latter was elected to the Rajya Sabha from Gujarat.

The Prime Minister also congratulated his colleague and Union Textile Minister Smriti Irani after she too secured a seat inside the Upper House of the Parliament of India.

"Congratulations to BJP President @AmitShah & ministerial colleague @smritiirani on getting elected to the Rajya Sabha from Gujarat," the Prime Minister's tweet read.

Modi also congratulated Shah on the completion of three years as the BJP president.

"Congratulations to Shri @AmitShah on completing 3 successful years as @BJP4India President," he said.

Commending Shah's work, the Prime Minister said, "During the Presidency of Shri @AmitShah, @BJP4India has expanded its base in several areas & diligently worked towards nation building."
