New Delhi, Apr 28 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday greeted the nation on the occasion of Akshay Tritiya and Parshuram Jayanti.

"Greetings to countrymen on the occasion of Akshay Tritiya and Parshuram Jayanti," the Prime Minister's tweet in Hindi read.

Akshay Tritiya is observed by the Hindu and Jain community.

Parshuram Jayanti is celebrated in honour of Lord Parshurama, the sixth incarnation of Lord Vishnu, according to Hindu mythology.
