PM Modi greets BSF jawans, families on Raising Day

New Delhi, Dec 1 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday greeted the Border Security Force (BSF) jawans and their families on the company's Raising Day.

"Greetings to @BSF_India personnel and their families on BSF Raising Day," the Prime Minister said.

"BSF exemplifies fortitude and impeccable service to our nation. They protect us from adversity, be it on the borders as well as in times of natural disasters and accidents. We are proud of BSF," he added.

BSF is one among India's five Central Armed Police Forces.

It was raised on Dec 1, 1965.
